PATTERNS

002 / Patterns

This was my first attempt at a silkscreen print while attending a printing class at SNAP.  More a study in printing technique and resolution than anything, the intent of this piece was to help me understand registering and completing a two-colour print.

The pattern was developed and drawn by hand, and recreated digitally.  The kinks in the surface were completely intentional; this was an attempt to see whether dimensionality could be folded into a print, given an absence of shade with the solid application of colour.

For anyone interested in silk screen printing, SNAP is a great resource for those in Edmonton.
